Lewis Returns to Defend
Stacy Lewis returns to the course where she captured her second win of the 2013 season and ascended to the number one spot in the Rolex World Golf Rankings. Lewis used an impressive nine birdies to card a final-round 64 and claim a three-stroke victory over Ai Miyazato.

Lewis is having a solid 2014 campagin, ranking fifth in the Race to CME Globe, with three top-10 finishes. Prior to her t40 finish at the HSBC Women’s Champions, Lewis had finished in the top-10 in her last 13 events, a mark which finished three shy of the record held by Karrie Webb in the 1999-2000 seasons.

Creamer’s First Event Since “The Putt”
Paula Creamer will be back in action for the first time since draining what may have been the putt of her career on Sunday, March 1,  to clinch her 10th career LPGA victory at the HSBC Women’s Champions. Creamer burried a 75-foot eagle putt on the second sudden-death playoff hole to defeat Spain’s Azahara Munoz. The victory snaped a 79 event winless streak for Creamer that dated back to the 2010 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.

Back in the Winner’s Ciricle
All four winners on the LPGA tour this season have been previous victors on the LPGA Tour. The last first-time winner on Tour was Taiwan’s Teresa Lu who captured the Mizuno Classic in Japan six events ago.

Race for Number One Continues
With her five-stroke victory at the Ladies European Tour World Ladies Championship at Mission Hills, Inbee Park continued her 48 week reign in the No. 1 spot in the Rolex Rankings. Suzann Pettersen and Stacy Lewis are trying to chase down Park and trail the World Number One by 0.92 and 2.03 points respectively.

International Crown Qualifiying Enters Stretch Run

With only two events left, players are looking to lock in their spots and represent their countries in the inaugural International Crown.

Several notable players, including Ha Na Jang (South Korea), Amy Yang (South Korea), Angela Stanford (USA), Mamiko Higa (Japan), Thidapa Suwannapura (Thailand) and Stacey Keating (Australia), sit narrowly outside of the cutline for their respective countries. Three of those players (Stanford, Suwannapura and Yang), as well as numerous others, can make a push for a roster spot with  a strong showing at the JTBC Founders Cup.
