2009 Solheim Cup ticket holders receive bonus day with weekly purchases

SUGAR GROVE, Ill., Feb. 24, 2009 - Ticket holders for the 2009 Solheim Cup at Rich Harvest Farms will receive a bonus day with their weekly ticket purchases, it was announced today. Gates will now open on Monday, Aug. 17 at 8 a.m. for a previously unscheduled team practice day. All weekly tickets will now be valid Monday, Aug. 17 through Sunday, Aug. 23. and include admission to the Opening and Closing ceremonies.
"With team members scheduled to be on the course Monday, it only makes sense to open the gates a day early," said Kelly Hyne, executive director of the 2009 Solheim Cup. "This means an extra day for fans to show their passion for country and watch their favorite players."

Monday has typically been a non-practice travel day during Solheim Cup week, but with no tournament scheduled the week prior on the LPGA Tour, a significant number of players are expected to be on the course at Rich Harvest Farms.

Weekly grounds tickets are $125 and include admission to the Opening and Closing ceremonies, as well as access to public areas including concession stands, restroom facilities and bleachers located on-site. PING Pavilion tickets are $350 for the week and provide admission to the grounds and all public facilities. In addition, ticket holders will be admitted to the PING Pavilion hospitality tent located adjacent to the 17th green. The PING Pavilion provides a climate controlled environment with a patio, seating areas, televisions, restrooms and a complete pay-as-you-go menu. The PING Pavilion ticket also includes week-long VIP parking located adjacent to the PING Pavilion as well as a commemorative copy of Official Magazine.
