Race for the Cup - Kraft Nabisco Championship

Brittany Lincicome (right) earned 120 points toward a spot on the 2009 U.S. Solheim Cup Team with her victory at the Kraft Nabisco Championship. Lincicome started the week 26th in the points race, but the victory catapults her to 12th, just outside the top-10 automatic spots on the team. South Carolinian Kristy McPherson boosted her Solheim Cup stock with a tie for second with Cristie Kerr. She is now eighth on the U.S. Team list after claming 60 points on Sunday (181.50 points). Cristie Kerr (468.50 points) overtook Angela Stanford (451.50 points) for second on the U.S. list with her 60-point effort this week.

The Solheim Cup is a biennial, trans-Atlantic team match-play competition featuring the best U.S.-born players from the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour and the best European members from the Ladies European Tour (LET). The U.S. Team leads the competition, 7-3, and has never lost The Solheim Cup on home soil.

- 117 days until U.S. and European teams are announced following the RICOH Women's British Open.

Rich Harvest Farms in Golf Digest Top 100. Rich Harvest Farms, site of the 2009 Solheim Cup, moved up six spots in Golf Digest's annual “America's Top 100 Golf Courses” list. The Jerry Rich/Greg Martin design is now ranked 46th, up from 51st last season.
