From hole marshals to leaderboards to walking scorers and ticket takers the 2017 Solheim Cup needs more than 2,000 volunteers to ensure the global event runs smoothly. And the LPGA staff knows its success hinges on this small army. That’s why when you purchase your volunteer ticket and commit to working just three, four hour shifts you’ll get more than a pat on the back. You’ll be treated like a first-class guest.
“We want to make sure that volunteers have as great an experience as any other person attending the 2017 Solheim Cup,” said Volunteer Chair Mary Coffin. “In addition to merchandise and meals provided to our volunteers, we are also creating a dedicated committee directly responsible to serving volunteer’s questions and needs when assisting Solheim patrons. It is important we provide them the support and tools they need to deliver high quality service throughout the week long event.”
The Volunteer Services Committee will make sure each volunteer is prepped and ready for their shifts, supply adequate water and equipment so volunteers can perform their job, respond to any volunteer questions or issues that arise and create an atmosphere of excellent hospitality. The committee is even hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Party!
