Team USA and Team Europe will not only take on each other during the 2017 Solheim Cup, they will also take on a course consistently rated by Golf Digest as one of the top 10 in Iowa; Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Scott Howe, Director of Golf at DMGCC who knows the course better than anyone, offered a preview of the 11th hole.
"Expect a lot of excitement on this hole. It's a recently lengthened Par 5 that doglegs left around a huge water hazard.
"Many of the Solheim Cup players will attempt to get to the green in two for an eagle try. Long hitters should be able to do it. But they are going to have to challenge the pond with their tee shot and land somewhere inside of 240 yards to have a chance of putting their second shot on the green. Those who come up short will end up in the water and will likely lose the hole.
"It's a very exciting hole and a great viewing hole with lots of space for spectators."
