Team U.S.A. and Team Europe have taken turns getting to know each other ahead of the Solheim Cup in August. Last weekend, it was Team Europe who embarked on a bonding trip of their own at the site of this year's matches at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.
Captain Annika Sorenstam was joined by vice captains Catriona Matthew, Marta Figueras-Dotti and Maria Hjorth in Iowa to check out the venue and their potential team. Caroline Masson, Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Georgia Hall and Florentyna Parker were in attendance. Hall and Parker currently hold the No. 1 and 2 spots in the Ladies European Tour Solheim Cup point standings. Masson and Ewart Shadoff are currently outside the top-8 who will automatically qualify by way of the point standings and Rolex Rankings.
