Ha Na Jang made the Rolex Rankings Move of the Week, climbing one spot to No. 5 with her win at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. Jang carded a 4-under 69 to come from four shots back to win at Royal Adelaide by three shots over Nanna Madsen. The victory marked the fourth of her career on the LPGA Tour and first of the 2017 season.
Jang says she ranks this victory as one of her best.
“I love Australia because the food is good, people is really kind, I love the golf course, and the weather is so good because it’s not really hot. Strong windy and a little dry, I like dry arid conditions, so, really good,” explained Jang.
Solheim Cup
The 2017 Solheim Cup returns to U.S. soil at Des Moines Golf & Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa on August 18-20 and the battle for a spot on each teams will intensify as the 2017 season ramps up.
Kim Kaufman moved up two spots from No. 15 to No. 13 for Team USA with her T16 finish at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. Her finish moves her closer to the No.8 and final spot in the Solheim Cup points standings.
England’s Mel Reid moves into the top spot for Team Europe after defeating Germany’s Sandra Gal on the third extra hole in a sudden-death playoff at the Oates Vic Open and grabbed the first title of the 2017 Ladies European Tour season.

Race to the CME Globe
Ha Na Jang shares the top spot in the Race to the CME Globe standings with Brittany Lincicome after winning the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open. Rounding out the top-5 are (3) Lexi Thompson, (4) Ariya Jutanugarn and (5) Pornanong Phatlum.
Heading into the fourth year of the Race to CME Globe, LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan announced some exciting changes. This year, the reset points for the Race to the CME Globe will be modified slightly. As a result of these modifications:
- The top five (5) finishers entering Naples will control their destiny at the CME Group Tour Championship - meaning if they win in Naples, they will also win the $1M CME Globe.
- The top twelve (12) finishers entering Naples will have a mathematical chance to win the $1M CME Globe.
- Please note that previously, the top 3 controlled their destiny and top 9 had a mathematical chance of winning.
