DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Sept. 14, 2023 – The LPGA is excited to host a 2023 Solheim Cup Watch Party at Franklin Hall, a beer hall and events venue in the Adams Morgan area of Washington D.C.
The 2024 Solheim Cup, the ultimate team competition in women’s golf, will be held at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, Va. This year, women’s sports fans in Washington D.C. will have an exclusive and exciting opportunity to elevate their support of the Solheim Cup and the 24 players competing for their countries at Finca Cortesin in Andalucia, Spain.
Starting at 6 AM ET and running to the conclusion of Sunday’s singles matches, the Watch Party will include access to exclusive swag giveaways and sweepstakes opportunities, as well as brunch and drink specials. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet U.S. Solheim Cup stars and LPGA Tour veterans Paula Creamer and Jessica Korda, who will be in attendance at Franklin Hall.
“Playing on the U.S. Solheim Cup Team is one of the highlights of my career. There’s nothing like wearing our national colors and playing on this massive stage,” said Korda, who has played on three U.S. Teams and whose sister is on the 2023 squad. “I wish I could be in Spain, but I can’t wait to introduce this event to the D.C. fans and let them know what they’ll get to experience in 2024. Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 2 Lilia Vu and No. 3 Nelly Korda lead the team of 12 Americans who will play for Captain Stacy Lewis in Spain. Vu and Korda qualified for the team via the U.S. Team Standings, along with Allisen Corpuz, Megan Khang, Jennifer Kupcho, Danielle Kang and Andrea Lee. Lexi Thompson and Rose Zhang qualified via their berths in the Rolex Rankings, while Lewis selected Ally Ewing, Cheyenne Knight and Angel Yin as her three captain’s picks.

The biennial Solheim Cup is the most prestigious international team event in women's professional golf. In 2019, Team Europe earned a 14.5-13.5 victory at Gleneagles in Scotland, a breathtaking win that saw Suzann Pettersen knock in the winning putt on the final hole of the final match. The U.S. Team leads the European Team, 10-6, all-time in Solheim Cup competition.
