Team Europe seized control of the 2026 Solheim Cup on Saturday morning, riding a wave of clutch putts and dominant pairing play to build a 7-5 lead over the United States heading into the afternoon four-ball session.

The Europeans took three of four morning foursomes matches, anchored by strong performances from both seasoned veterans and energetic rookies. Swedish duo Maja Stark and Linn Grant set the early tone, capitalizing on American errors to defeat Allisen Corpuz and World No. 1 Nelly Korda 3 and 2.

European rookies Mimi Rhodes and Nastasia Nadaud delivered the most decisive result of the morning, leading wire-to-wire in a dominant 4-and-3 victory over American pairing Andrea Lee and Auston Kim.

The morning’s most thrilling drama unfolded on the 18th hole. After Jennifer Kupcho and Rose Zhang held the upper hand through much of the front nine, Leona Maguire and Esther Henseleit clawed back to level the match late. On the final green, Henseleit sank a clutch par putt after an American misstep to secure a 1-up victory and extend Europe's momentum.

The Americans managed one point in the morning session courtesy of Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin, who dominated Charley Hull and Lottie Woad 6 and 5. Despite that blowout win, the overall two-point deficit leaves Team U.S. seeking answers as afternoon play begins at Bernardus Golf.

Andrea Lee and Auston Kim struggled to mount a response as the European pair steadily built their advantage. Rhodes and Nadaud closed out the 4-and-3 victory down the stretch, securing another vital point for Team Europe.

Match 12 – Alison Lee/Lauren Coughlin def. Charley Hull/Lottie Woad 6&5

Americans Alison Lee and Lauren Coughlin remained tied with Europe's Charley Hull and Lottie Woad through the first three holes before breaking ahead. The U.S. pair capitalized on a European bogey on the par-3 fourth to take a 1-up lead. Lee and Coughlin kept their foot on the gas, reeling off birdies on three subsequent holes to push their advantage to 4-up.
