With 2013 being a Solheim Cup year, U.S.-born players will earn 1.5 times as many points as in 2012 for top-20 finishes. Players will earn 60 points for a victory, 30 for second place and points decreasing by 1.5 for third through 20th place. Those points will be doubled at the four LPGA majors that occur before the Solheim Cup, and the cutoff for points will be the RICOH Women’s British Open, Aug. 1-4. Players will have 18 LPGA Tour events in which they can earn points for this year’s event. For updated points standings for both teams, log on to www.solheimcup.com.
