The Move of the Week belongs to Hannah Green, who jumped 12 spots in the world rankings with her victory at the HSBC Women's World Championship, moving from No. 29 to No. 17 in the Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings.
The Australian made a 27-foot putt on her final hole to finish one stroke ahead of Celine Boutier and secure the victory in Singapore, ultimately solidifying her return to the top 20 in the Rolex Rankings. Green has spent 107 career weeks ranked inside the top 20, having been ranked as high as 13th in June 2023.
It's incredible to think that at 27, Green has amassed 23 career top 10s, including four wins, and made over $4.7 million in career earnings since becoming an LPGA Tour member in 2018. She is definitely moving in the right direction, and it's likely only a matter of time before she notches her fifth career LPGA title.
Mi Hyang Lee Makes Big Move in Standings
After tying for third in Singapore, Mi Hyang Lee moved up 35 spots in the Rolex Rankings. The Republic of Korea native, whose T3 finish at the HSBC Women's World Championship last week is her best result since she tied for fifth last September at the 2023 Kroger Queen City Championship presented by P&G, now sits at No. 85. Lee was ranked as high as 31st in April 2019.
The 30-year-old is no stranger to the winner's circle on the LPGA Tour, having won the Women's Scottish Open in 2017 and the Mizuno Classic in 2014, and will be leaning on her recent good form with another shot at victory this week in the People’s Republic of China at the Blue Bay LPGA.
Lydia Ko Keeps Top Spot in Season-Long Races
Lydia Ko's consistency week in and week out on the LPGA Tour has earned her the top spot in all the LPGA Tour's season-long races early in the 2024 season. Ko is ranked No. 7 in the world and finished T34 last week in Singapore, her first finish outside the top five in her three total starts this season as Ko already has a win at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and a runner-up finish at the LPGA Drive On Championship.
With a full calendar of events ahead of us, Ko is just one win away from earning a spot in the LPGA Hall of Fame, currently sitting at 26 points, one point shy of the 27 required for automatic qualification.
The New Zealander is at the top of the Official Money List with $400,123 in season earnings and leads the Race to the CME Globe point standings with 839.00 points, only 252.571 points ahead of Patty Tavatanakit, who moved to No. 2 after another top-10 finish last week. She also holds a slim 9-point lead over Tavatanakit and Nelly Korda in the Rolex Player of the Year race.
