Brittany Lang
If there’s a place Brittany Lang plays well it’s the Manulife LPGA Classic. Lang won in a four-way playoff to capture her first win on Tour in the inaugural playing of this event back in 2012 and followed that with a runner-up finish in 2015. Lang has been playing some great golf this season, capturing her second win on Tour, also in a playoff, at the U.S. Women’s Open.
Cristie Kerr
LPGA Tour veteran Cristie Kerr has made just two starts at the Manulife LPGA Classic but both have been solid, finishing runner-up in 2014 and T-4 in 2015. She’s coming off back-to-back top-15 finishes with a T-14 showing last week at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open.
So Yeon Ryu
So Yeon Ryu is one of the most consistent players on Tour, owning the longest active cut streak, and her play in Canada has been no different. The South Korean hasn’t finished outside the top-20 in her four starts at the Manulife LPGA Classic, including a T-4 finish in 2015.
Ariya Jutanugarn
World No.2 Ariya Jutanugarn rolls into Canada on her second winning streak of the season, having captured the last two wins on the LPGA Tour. She’s looking to pick up a third consecutive win for the second time this season at the Manulife LPGA Classic, but she’ll have to improve her performance last season when she missed the cut with an opening round 77.
Stacy Lewis
In search of her first win in more than two-years, Stacy Lewis could get it done this week. The world No.8 has played well in Canada, posting three top-6 finishes in her last four starts. She has also played well in recent weeks with four top-10’s in her last five events.
Catriona Matthew
Olympian Catriona Matthew makes the trip to Ontario for this week’s Manulife LPGA Classic off a T-37 finish at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open. Matthew must find a comfort in the cold conditions similar to her home in Scotland, she hasn’t finished outside the top-15 in this event in four starts.
Alena Sharp
Alena Sharp got an extra boost playing back home in Canada at last week's Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, where she was cheered by huge crowds to a career best fourth place finish. She’ll hope to carry that momentum to the Manulife LPGA Classic where she hasn’t found much success, her best finish coming in a T-27 last year.
Brooke Henderson
Like Alena Sharp, Brooke Henderson enjoyed an outpouring of fan support last week in Canada as fans made the most of their opportunity to watch the new major champion. Despite her relative struggles in recent weeks, the world No.3 has 10 top-10 finishes in 2016. She’ll look to improve on her play in this event from last year when she failed to make it to the weekend.
Karrie Webb
Coming off back-to-back top-5 finishes, Hall of Famer Karrie Webb will be one to watch in the second half of the season. Look for her to play better than years past in this event where she has struggled to crack the top-30.
Julieta Granada
Olympian Julieta Granda will be looking for a spark this week at the Manulife LPGA Classic where she has consistently play well. Having never missed a weekend in this event, Granada posted a T-20 finish in 2014 and T-11 in 2015. Her return to comfortable territory will help her get back on track after missing her last three cuts on Tour.
