The 13th hole is an exacting par 4 hole on the golf course at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Accuracy is critical with both the tee shot and the long approach shot. Players will have to flight the ball into a prevailing wind and avoid bunkers on both the left and right of the slightly elevated fairway. From there, a well struck second shot of 160- to 180 yards is critical to get past a large, false front to an elevated green that features a sharp drop toward bunkers on the left. Par is an excellent score on this hole.
